Sounds like they handled the situation by trapping.
.. or having crazed golfers attack the foxes.

Some people were afraid of the foxes, he said, especially as it appeared the animals were losing their fear of people because people were feeding them.

So Mowrey set live traps for the animals, starting about two or three months ago.

He said he has a standing Depredation Permit from the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission and always calls them when he traps any animal.

Mowrey said he trapped three foxes and released them across the Beaver Bridge near the lake so they would have water.

He said a local Game & Fish officer came out after he called and told him that was not far enough to take them away, that they really should be seven to 10 miles away, "or even further, because they would come back."

But Mowrey said he hasn't seen any more activity around the Clubhouse, so he has suspended trying to trap any more of the animals.

Harry Hoffman told the newspaper he had heard from two separate people that a golfer allegedly beat a fox to death with a golf club and bragged to several people about it, but that could not be substantiated.

"The thing that bothers me is this:" said Harry. "We have a gazillion deer and two gazillion armadillos. There were seven foxes, and they were a danger? Are you kidding me?"

Shooting cats, using golf clubs to kill foxes... crazy community.
