Doc...that situation is called writing Covered Calls (if we are talking calls rather than puts)...Options Can be written Naked (with No underlying Equity position)...Guess who Regularly Do That...??!


There is a myriad of options strategies...I know not all, nor do I practice but a few...

I DO have positions in the Jan. expiry though...so am watching closely...
