Not really that concerned about the fate of african american women (I wish them no harm). The Lp-PLA2 test is kind of like the Civil Rights Act of 1964 in that it is the first FDA recognition that inflammation plays an important role in CVD and that it is not all about LDL-C.

This opens the door to a discussion with the FDA that the possibility of EPA lowering CVD risk might be related to its anti inflammatory properties rather than just that it lowers trig levels.
