There's that, yes. But I don't think very much thought goes into mod selection some times. And when one can become mod of a flat dead board just by posting 4 or 5 nonsense posts in a row and be accepted via a robo qualifier script apparently. Which is understandable if the board count and posting volume is what they say it is. And a happy pumpy board is more profitable with traffic and easier to maintain than a free stock board with variety and conflicting sentiment.
