I've been wondering the same, and believe there is good reason, logistically. Perhaps relations with suppliers/farmers? NC is a good farm state, especially for hemp. Close to end users, making distribution more affordable? Taxes?

I'm sure the picture will becoming clearer on why NC. Hopefully, they are smart enough to know the local political environment.

Outside of what Perlowin knows is a guess, really. But I think we now have a better understanding of what HEMP will become.
