dig space,

Common, dig I have said many times that I believe Wave's big opportunities regarding the use of the TPM lay in the Military's/Gov'ts/Defense Industrial Base (TSCP companies) first an foremost.

They are the ones that I have posted about that have said will use the TPM but that the NSA will tell the DOD where to use them and that the TPM has to meet Fips 140 certification where applicable and by Jan 2015 all TPM's must meet the NIAP PP for TPM's. The fact that TPM's are being certified in the last year starts to kick the crutch out of the Fed's not being able to use them in their IT systems. Keep in mind as the TPM by the OEM gets certified any TPM in the wild that is the same model is usable.

As I posted previously with links from NIST that any Federal Agency IT system that uses cryptography to protect IT assets must use a FIPs 140 certified crypto module.

PWC was free to do what they wanted as a private company but as we all know the TPM has not been adopted to any great extent by the private industry.

Where the NSA/Military/DIB/NATO goes the Fed's go. All the IT systems must be interoperable and it includes the NATO alliance.

The NSTIC project and Wave's involvement has been to test an all encompassing Identity Management eco system (user and machine and Applications/Routers etc..)and various technologies will be used in that ID Eco system. Think FIDO Alliance/PKI/GlobalPLatform technologies.

Obama said Mid Jan 2015 he wants a plan on his desk to implement chip and PIN for the Federal Gov't and also use technologies from the NSTIC project that provide various 2-factor authentication to secure users PII etc.

Lot's of stuff going on heading into 2015 JMO
