Scotforth's continuing exploration of EARS suggests that Turkwel in Kenya will be one of the next petroliferous basins. Basin-wide RSDD-H reconnaissance has identified Hydrocarbon Lead Indicators ("HLIs") there, analogous to those in the nearby Lokichar Basin.

Tullow/Africa Oil is currently conducting a 600 kilometer 2D seismic program over the North Lokichar and Turkwell basins, which is scheduled to be completed in the fourth quarter. The program will provide more information on leads they have identified in that basin. - LT
