That is only true if you have a small position. There are no buyers at any price for a big lot of shares. At least lately. If you could find a buyer, the price would drop out of sight. There is no way management would support this pos anymore.

You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich. You cannot
strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot bring on
prosperity by discouraging thrift. You cannot lift the wage earner
up by pulling the wage payer down.
