I read an article in SmartMoney magazine about investor/businessman John Lynch and his take on WiMax. The latter part of the article tells how Mr. Lynch is on the ground floor of WiMax technology; that he inherited a license for 50 megahertz's of spectrum in FL when he bought the assets of a defunct telecom company and is now negotiating to sell the license for $2m to a company that will deploy its Internet and Internet Telephony via WiMax. Lynch: "It's a new story with new equipment. The telephone and cable companies are going to take a big hit, but the companies involved-giants like Intel and IBM-are going to benefit tremendously."

As a GTE investor, I appreciate Mr. Lynch's insight; just wondering which telecom company in Florida is he negotiating to sale the assets/license to? Hmmmm! Comments? glta longs.
