TKC--Here is the ABSURDITY of the anti-Sprague crowd.

For nearly a decade and COUNTING! every Enterprise PC and Laptop come with a TPM. All of them! Not some of them! All of them!

There are about ONE BILLION! of those suckers on planet Earth and ONLY a few hundred thousand have been activated despite the fact that the Internet security infrastructure is imploding.

Who is creating revenues from Trusted Computing?

Who is responsible for the dearth of TPM activations? Steven Sprague or the Gorillas of the Trusted Computing Group?

But you can't bash the TCG Gorillas because nobody has a damn idea how the Gorillas have continued to TOTALLY SCREW UP the Trusted Computing lift-off!

So investors bash Sprague's salary or the Wave pipeline that didn't deliver or failed projects or whatever. Sprague is the reason why no one is activating TPMs. So simple isn't it?

Do you also want to blame Sprague for the massive screw up of Trustone, which has been around forever. There are 100s of millions of Trustzone capable devices in the hands of consumer....and guess what? I don't think there has been one lousy Trustzone activation. Should we blame Sprague's TVTonic on that? Sure why not.

It must be comforting to create simplistic reasoning for very complex issues.

Let me repeat: I think that Solms is great! I have the utmost respect for that man as CEO of Wave. But if the gorilla OEMs of the TCG continue to screw up everything then guess what? Solms will not deliver...and it won't be his fault.

Of course, it might be the case that Solms through the force of personality/character and a deeply rooted integrity could somehow single handedly jump start massive number of activations. If that happens I'll be the first to join the Cult of Solms Club.
