Hi Allen,

You can have unlimited number of individual AIM investments inside each installed Newport folder.

For instance, let us say that you have your personal investments in a folder at c:\Investments\Allen....

You can keep as many separate AIM investments there as you can afford. Please remember that ALL ticker symbols need to have 5 characters. So, if you are going to invest in IBM, you need to enter its symbol as IBM_ _ (With two underscores) to give it 5 place settings. This is a symptom of the program's age, but it needs to be remembered.

You then can put Newport in a separate folder c:\Investments\Trust_1... and have as many investments (separate AIM engines) as you care to there as well.

Next you set up c:\Investments\Allen_IRA_Account..... etc. In each case you can have as many AIM engines as you care. All records will be kept separately so there won't be any confusion.

Here's what my folder looks like:

Clicking on any of those icon shortcuts will bring up that specific Newport installation, group of investments, their histories, etc. Each contains many AIM engines. The "Histories" one is for mock investments that I'm tracking or testing.

All the 'accounting' of each investment (AIM engine) is kept segregated, so if you have IBM, AT&T, CSCO and AAPL all in your IRA, each will be kept separate from the other and each provides its own Buy/Sell signals based upon how you set them up. Each will be tracked separately, trades will be kept segregated from the other holdings, both line and stacked bar graphs will be generated separately, etc. Each keeps track of its own cash held in reserve.

So, you could have 100 separate AIM investments in ten different Newport installations for a total of 1000 AIM engines and it won't tax Newport or your computer at all.

Best regards,
