I had a very nice phone conversation with Tanner Lamb at PFIE IR. I had initially emailed Nathan McBride with a few Qs, but Tanner was delegated to reply since Nathan was in meetings all day.

I found out a few things:

First, they'll announce earnings in a few weeks and, notably, by Thursday they'll decide whether or not to inaugurate earnings calls with analysts (i had suggested in my email it might be a good thing to start doing this).

Second, i found out that the flare-ignition systems (FIS) for the flare-stacks price at $1,400, and that when many customers buy the BMS systems (for ~$4,500) they often also buy the FIS.

So my overly simplistic post the other day about product revenues and how many units sold can't be reduced to such simple math.

Tanner thought that last qtr they sold about 2,200 BMS systems, as i recall him saying on the phone call. And then there were obviously sales of other products added into the revenue mix.

He also said that in the future they may further break out the numbers for revenues on different products sold and not just lump them together.

He also spoke, in reply to one of my Qs, about how in future the sales team hopes to have some reliable numbers worked up from customers about their improved cost efficiencies in using Profire products.

This would be very important info, i think, as a marketing tool in our new season of lower oil prices (b/c of the glut of oil and soft demand) and the fact that many oil companies will be looking especially hard to cut their costs by increasing efficiency.
