looks to me like hardly anyone cares about the nuances of the technology any more. they care if someone buys it.
focussing on the details of the tcg is like someone learning about the functioning of a clock, listing each of its cogs precisely, without worrying if the hands move according to the human measurement of time.
most people only care if the clock works.
indeed, they only care if it works without having to interpret layers of jargon. when the clock strikes one, it is one o'clock. not arge-bargle, TCG, HSPD80076, CAC, SED, TPM, 24-hour or 12 hour clock, possibly 1:00, maybe 13:00 etc.
all the theories about what customers might want given us by prescient geniuses pale in comparison to what customers actually choose to purchase. the previous ceo and his adherents thought they knew but forgot to listen carefully to wave's customers.
the rewards of their prescience was endless dilution.
so what do the supply siders do? why, they double down on their claims of prescience, of course. cogs, cogs, more cogs.
the new ceo hopefully continues to focus his attention far more heavily on feedback from the demand side.
