So - as a former bar and restaurant operator and owner....what would possess me to carry Marani on my shelves, given that I have limited space and need to cater to my customers?
If a sales rep comes to my place to get me to carry a new brand - in this case, and brand with virtually zero name recognition - what's in it for me? If the rep brings promotional materials, drink recipes, etc. etc. - maybe gets me and my staff to taste and compare the product - perhaps that works. I then offer it to my customers, and they have to like it enough to order it regularly (as opposed th the brand they presently select) for me to re-order. If it doesn't sell - it goes into the well (for non-call drinks) until it's gone - and I never re-order. That's how it works.
Tito's made it work - lots of word of mouth and other ploys to build awareness and create demand. MRIB will have to do the same, and it isn't an easy process. Just saying - long way to go....
