Wasn't the topic Ultratech Steppers? Intel doesn't use those AFAIK. But there is no doubt Intel is late with their 14nm process, but this isn't Intel's first FF rodeo. Something else is the issue besides basic FinFets. The other manufacturers are just starting out on these structures.


It would be great if ALL of the foundries could stick to their roadmaps and really start breathing down Intel's neck... But chances are, they won't ALL fail.
