"When can one expect some benchmark scores for an Opteron workstation? Will a $2500 1.4GHz dual Opteron workstation outperform, say, a 2.4GHz dual Xeon workstation from HP for $2300, or a 2.66GHz dual Xeon workstation from Dell for $2550?"
Yesterday there was posted a link to the japanese cluster
system. I can't read (understand) the written text, but
we can take the benchmarks as an indication of speed which
are provided there.
I know that the cluster has to work with special apps, but
is this not a "normal" situation ... ;)
