For his career he hit 285 in the leadoff position with a 353 OBP. that is my kind of guy on the leadoff position. Sure would i like a 400 OBP, that would be outstanding. But I don't want to invest a ton of resources in a leadoff hitter, I don't want to pay a guy 20 million to steal bases, as I don't value it because you could of gathered that from the ellsbury discussion, I believe in power, and OBP. Aoki gives you a 350 OBP could steal 15-20 bases, and get on. That is what I like about him But they can only sign him if they get castro at SS. Because somewhere the Mets need a middle of the lineup hitter from either LF or SS in 2015, and Aoki is clearly a top of the order hitter. Time will tell in my opinion.
