Doesn't the stock market in general sort of rely on speculation? Could've sworn that's why even big boards trade at multiples of p/e - speculation, right? Why do investors purchase shares of a company above or below 'fair value'? Any idea? My guess: they are speculating.

ANYONE investing in "the future" (that which is not here yet) IS SPECULATING.
