Simple situation here. GTAT filed for bankruptcy because Apple chose to use someone elses glass after signing deal with GTAT. GTAT felt betrayed so they decided to take the huge pay from Apple and file BK and keep the remaining proceeds. Now it is a pissing contest to see who will give in Apple or GTAT. Well GTAT has put all their cards on the table. They said we will fold up shop and take your money unless you allow us to keep producing Sapphire for Apple. The only decision for Apple to make now is allow them to continue to make the glass or buy their company and make the glass themselves. Any other option would be a huge financial loss for Apple, one they could surely recover from but it would hurt non the less. Either scenario is a win for the PPS at GTATQ. GLTA.
