Thank you Watts and thank you for your excellent post!

I have to agree with your views on nepotism completely. I wasn’t around in the earlier days, so I’m merely speculating, but is it possible that in the earlier days family loyalty and stocks that of course they gave out at the cost of the shareholders may have been the only thing that Liquidmetal had to control their employees from divulging trade secrets or their partners’ secrets was. If I personally worked in a warehouse I wouldn’t mind sweeping their warehouse and owning half a million or more shares free of charge especially of Liquidmetal.

I COMPLETELY agree that public companies, including Liquidmetal should be subject to scrutiny. My only defense for Liquidmetal is that they do not have the kind of money that ENGEL, Materion or Apple has to monitor their trade secrets.

I'm not familiar with when LQMT had 215 employees and the Company was headquartered in Tampa. Only if you have time I would like to hear more about that.

Make it a great day!

Public companies should be subject to scrutiny and nepotism and cronyism should be subject to scrutiny. All in my pleasant opinion, of course. Our main partners, Engel, Apple and Materion do not subscribe to nepotism and each certainly has an equal or greater amount of company secrets. No?

Thanks for an excellent post. Apart from our views on nepotism, we seem to be in concurrence on most topics you cited.

I posted 70 patents, which was the number of incremental or new patents over and above the original number which Steipp started with, the new total being what you posted.

I like your use of the word snicker to describe Steipp's articulation....

Welcome to the business world.

One thing you did not mention was that Tom said that this open house was the first opportunity for shareholders to talk to every employee of Liquidmetal without abash. He also said it would be the last time as well, and future questions would have to be directed to him or Tony.

Finally, when LQMT had 215 employees when the Company was headquartered in Tampa, I do not believe that your thinking on nepotism would have applied then, nor should it apply now.

Loyalty does apply, in Tom Steipp's world. In fact, he demands it. But nepotism, while definitely a means of asserting control, is not an attribute for a Company seeking world class status.
Either you are a public company or you are a private company.
Private companies can do anything they want.
Public companies should be subject to scrutiny and nepotism and cronyism should be subject to scrutiny. All in my pleasant opinion, of course. Our main partners, Engel, Apple and Materion do not subscribe to nepotism and each certainly have an equal or greater amount of company secrets. No?
