I have reason to believe that there could be considerable under reporting of the script numbers. I am in frequent contact with Susan Y. who is the drug rep for Amarin in the Orlando Fl. area. At our office we have been putting our surgical post ops on V because of evidence suggesting EPA may have a preventive effect on hypertrophic scarring. Unsightly scarring not related to technique is a problem in facial rejuvenation. Anything safe which might prevent this is worth trying.

Drug reps get paid depending on the number of scripts their doctors write and are very interested in seeing that they show up. In our case there are many scripts that do not not show up in the reports..At present drug rep does not know why.
