Looks like the Air Force will be in Tulsa in Oct. to discuss funding for small businesses.

Air Force SBIR/STTR topic pre-release

The DoD SBIR 15.1 and STTR 15.A solicitations are scheduled to open on 15 January 2015, preceded by the DoD pre-release starting 12 December 2014. The Air Force will post their topics on this website in late-October. TPOC contact information will be provided, so be sure to check our Solicitation Schedule Info page frequently.

Upcoming outreach events

Our expanding outreach activities to under-served states and disadvantaged businesses/individuals will be taking us to various states and small business events. Look for us in Tulsa, Oklahoma City, New Orleans, Kansas City, Austin and San Antonio.

Workshops:

Oklahoma, October 21-23 - Events are scheduled in Stillwater, Tulsa and Oklahoma City. Air Force SBIR/STTR program manager David Sikora will be participating in workshops and meeting with small business owners and community leaders to discuss funding for high-risk projects that meet Air Force needs, intellectual property rights for the small business and Air Force assistance with transitioning or commercializing SBIR and STTR funded technology. The event is sponsored by the Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology (OCAST). More information is available at the OCAST website.

SOLICITATION STATUS

The SBIR 15.1 and STTR 15.A solicitation topics will be pre-released by DoD on December 12. The Air Force's topics for those solicitations may be pre-released on this site in mid-November.

The STTR 14.A solicitation is now closed. The Air Force typically notifies selectees within 90 days. For non-selected proposals the principle investigator or corporate official will be notified. The principal goal of the Air Force SBIR and STTR Programs is to serve the technology needs of the Air Force warfighter. These programs, together with the people who manage them, accomplish this as part of the Air Force Research Laboratory's (AFRL) technology development efforts. AFRL's mission is to be the Air Force's agent for identifying and providing advanced, affordable, and integrated technologies that keep our Air Force the best in the world.
