I've noticed that as well, channel searching for "GROUNDED IN SEATTLE", not finding anything, and then just forwarding ahead to Saturday 9 AM on WE and seeing "PAID" in the slot. What a let-down. A single paid-for 30 minute commercial that very few people will see won't do anything for the business. I set my DVR to record it but I'm fairly sure it's going to be similar to the day after ReelTime announced Sony Pictures movies, and I streamed Spider-man and then all the investors looked at one another and collectively said "okay, now what?"

As for the franchise management sales company, I don't know what's happening, but it's looking like they haven't followed through with their end of the agreement. I'm betting they have a way out if the franchise isn't showing any interest from potential franchisees.

The bar - you're more optimistic than I am. If it was in Washington or striking distance from home-base, I'd be more optimistic. But the fact that it's so far away would scare the hell outta me if I was an owner. Bars and restaurants are difficult businesses to run, and doing so remotely is that much harder and adds another layer of management on the take. Plus they're dens for theft, but it's usually apathy that destroys them.

I still think the intentions of management are good. They're trying to make money legitimately, and I respect their efforts. Not a scam, but also not the right recipe yet for success.
