It's sad. It's all about sexual repression - not just gay, but straight. And it's sick.

I was always one of those people who never wanted to sit next to nuns on airplanes (flying nuns?) ... ever since I was a child. Back in those days one can identify nuns - they wore nun outfits (like they do in parts of Europe, still). I didn't have any sophistication or knowledge about sex, but I knew nuns didn't do it (or weren't supposed to, anyway), and intrinsically my reaction to them was to stay away. I didn't like prissy people then - and don't cotton to them now!

I was reared in the Russian Orthodox church, and they're very similar to Catholics - except their clergy can have sex! Well, again, not the nuns I don't think ... but certainly the male clergy except for the highest ranks of monks - those who are qualified to be "Metropolitans" (the godfathers of the various sects).

People are funny.
