Have to throw in mention of those two brothers on Fast Money - pony tail football bro does @noon show too. They live for options. What I've gleamed is the money is made in very short term bursts in hot stocks. Must be 24/7 pro to catch the meat of action. The leverage is such that a casual player will be eaten alive.
Dramatic run for day or two. What works for average player would be to latch onto a GPRO trender and hold on - something options players don't do as a rule. 50-100% gains/losses shake out little guys only to see a GPRO be a Bunny Battery. Read deep then go simple with your plans here.

Check out this weekly blog that was posted on another board. Strong analysis w/ charts. This week he really takes on some pre Recession indications seen at other DMA points like now following a MDD like we had Thursday. Some good comments about how slides don't reverse all of a sudden and run again. There's most often a few days of further sliding (Friday jump notwithstanding). Helps to be aware of rounding over points seen before a Big Mkt Drop.
