If you go to AIDO's website, there is a pdf presentation that addresses the issue. RFID is for the purpose of tracking origiantion and movement. From what I understand, chickens are grouped 3,000/pen for transport and each pen would be tagged. It's purpose would be to reduce the destruction of entire populations if there was an outbreak. THink of it as a lot recall.
