Greedy compared to what? QCOM? LOL.

Under the 2000 plan, IDCC has 9,748,942 options outstanding and 1,144,912 options available for grant.

Using the corporate average package of 35,000 options, that's enough for about 32-33 new hires. Using a technical employee average of around 75,000 options per engineer that's enough for 15 new hires.

IDCC Headcount
As of 3/20/2003

R&D 216
Patent Administration 11
Others - Full-time (staff) 73
.
Total 300
.
Others - Part-time 12

You can't argue out of both sides of your mouth, Rox. You can't argue that IDCC hasn't laid out its business objectives for 2003 and then also argue that you would be surprised that they would even have 50 new hires in 2003.
