I agree with everything you wrote. It's unlikely to result in any IMMEDIATE substantial direct sales of anything, including but no limited to: ice cream, coffee, franchises, or promotional material.

There is only one episode of the TV show airing Oct-11. Assuming G.L. doesn't call every network TV channel executive every single day and tell them that this is a scam and nobody likes Baristas. And assuming that we get a full season of episodes aired. Following it through...I think this could be the result:

Initially there will be fanfare. Many opportunities and doors opening. The 'Baristas Girls' will start making appearances. The stock could soar merely because there will be more buyers of it. More stock sales, means more disposable income for the company. More income means more stores, and yes I do think that could THEN produce higher revenues as people who watch the show go to visit the girls they see on TV, buy franchises, and promotional material. It could create a self-perpetuating chain reaction. People watching their favorite TV stars go visit the stores, increase revenues, make more stores, etc.

All of that could then result in the company buying out a chain of restaurants and an uplist. It's a path, a way out of the doldrums, and I think with this TV show on-air anything is possible. If they don't get at least one full season, they're going to return to whence they came.

WE probably wasn't the top choice, but it's still a decent choice. Women love drama, and I think they can generate some.
