As far as I'm concerned, the Benghazi CIA Annex was established to take weapons out of the area. My guess is that the Diplomatic Mission was opened as part of Obama's Libya nation building.

Stevens could have been part of the weapons program, but I don't understand his role in that.

Well before 9/11/2012 I had heard the CIA was active in Eastern Libya trying to get control of various kinds of ground to air missiles. Untold quantities were unaccounted for after the fall of Kaddafi. Sounds like a good idea to me.

Probably, while they were at it, they were trying to control other weaponry. What happened to the fruits of their labor? Many of the weapons probably went to Syrian Rebels.

Two to three years ago The Free Syrian Army looked like a viable force to oppose Assad. To me opposing Assad made a lot more sence than overthrowing Gadhafi.

I'm sure Investment Watch has a lot to say about America creating ISIL with the weapons America took out of the Benghazi area. If not Investment Watch, then Russia TV.
