MONTREAL - Canada's taxman is seeking back taxes from John [Babs] Babikian.
QMI Agency has learned that the fugitive Montreal-area businessman owes $15 million.
He recently settled with U.S. securities authorities after they say he made $1.9 million in 90 seconds on fraudulent penny stocks.
The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) is now targeting the mysterious 27-year-old multimillionaire who fled Canada last year and is believed to be hiding out in Dubai or Monaco.
CRA issued liens on his luxurious house and land in the Montreal suburb of Laval, Que., QMI Agency has learned.
Babikian got his nickname [due to his love of Barbra Streisand's music].
Babikian amassed $100 million in just a few years, collecting playboy toys such as a $1.5-million Bugatti Veyron supercar.
