I never got on the fiber optic cable bandwagon. It just seems to me like a train going full steam-ahead towards a cliff. Been on too many of those. Well, maybe it's not that bad considering there is so much room for expansion and maintenance. One has to wonder why the anology between fiber optic cable companies and movie rental stores doesn't stick. Hmmm it could be because one consumes the other.
