Held.. TPG was allowed per their investment agreement to convert pref to common. they did and assumed control of WMI in the process signaling an ownership change in july 2008. because of the large scale selling of common shares from that point forward TPG had to have exited their positions in WMI. i know i would have. in the Wall Street Journal article i posted yesterday. Tpg lost 1.3B on the WMI deal. They did not have WMI debt going into bk or they would have been a very loud voice for the estate. no they were out by then. Tepper became a multi billionaire off buying distressed debt during the financial crisis.

We know Appaloosa and the four horsemen were in it deep.
