That's not a really bad idea. Except I am stuck in so many good stocks which aren't performing, I needed another strategy.


Most of my portfolio is parked in offsetting shorts and longs.

The market goes up, I have the same amount in the coffee can as when it goes down. Occasionally, I can pick up a deeply discounted shipping stock or country fund and bend the numbers favorably.
