As a new member here, I hope to keep up to date on thoughts, FA and TA about GTE without having to spend most of my time wading through dozens of garbage posts for one that is worthwhile to read. After reading posts here for a few days, lurking and reading will be my endeavor as many of you are beyond my abilities with analysis.
I currently hold a substantial amount of shares in GTE and feel the company is a jewel in the making, and on the cusp of a huge change in communications. Some bumps in the road, but such is the beginnings of many companies. Nothing I have read tells me the Russian deal is dead, only delayed. Same with Columbia. Everything I've read about the stratellite tells me it will be a big plus to the sp this year, (and possibly quite soon).
Huff may be more of an engineer than a CEO, thus may appear a little green at times, but his technical know how has beneficially helped structure the company and its' personnel. Time will tell.
