I would agree with you. Virtualization will lead to universal hardware platforms. I am a strong proponent of the notion that proprietary hardware is out!

Steve Jobs is the first entrepreneur that now owns the whole value chain for digital entertainment. He may end up controlling Disney, he controls Apple, he's technical genius and an unparalleled business man.

Disney to acquire Pixar for US 7.4 billion. Steve Jobs to become the single biggest share holder of the Walt Disney Company if deal goes through.

You'd think he'd like hardware security for the sale and distribution of digital content, no?
