That's a good question -

The key is your phrase "sales potential". And yes, if Schott sees significant sales potential from whatever products are developed from TDCP's technology then I believe they will "support" the R&D necessary to bring that product(s) to market.

But then again, isn't that what the federal funding is supposed to do? So in my view, Schott risks nothing except possibly the embarrassment of not having the project funded (and I hope to heck that doesn't happen- lol).
