Zip:Then I Guess You Were Wrong And Maybe your expectations were unrealistic--at least in retrospect given the benefit of hindsight even if they SEEMED reasonable to you at the time?

I don't mean that flippantly either or disrespectfully either.

I guess then the question you have to ask yourself is whether the risk/reward analysis continues to favor your continued investment relative to other possible investments?

Without going into the spilt milk/water under the bridge (or spilt milk under the bridge for that matter) I was trying to point out the risk/reward of settlement vs trial and appeals.

So, looking forward, do you feel that IDCC is a good investment, and/or a good investment for YOU? People have different objectives, different time perspectives, different risk tolerances, different needs and very different situations.

As to rumors: I'd be willing to bet that if you look back here for as long as IDCC board has been in existence, and then you look back at the RB boards, that on a regular basis such rumors have been circulating.

Then take a look at message boards for other companies and see the rumors there.

Then take a look at message boards for ANY topic and see the rumors there.

This is the internet. Beyond being able to access an almost incomprehensible amount of the recorded knowledge of mankind, and any kind of perverted pornography you can imagine, it is pretty much all about rumors and conspiracy theories.

I would guess that pornography is accessed more than the accumulated knowledge of mankind--it is one of the few internet business models that has consistently been profitable--who wants to pay for accessing information?

So who knows what to make of rumors? I know how I feel about rumormongers though.

But I do wonder why the posts I've seen about a buyout scenario automatically assume it would be a bad thing for shareholders?

Respectfully,

joel
