First of all the price has been holding between $.025 and $.03. Not $.01
Some insiders including Dr. Murphy converted some debt to equity at $.04 in recent filings.

Also if I was a smart institutional investor with $10 - $20 million to spend even at $.10 a share I would know that it would double that in a day of trading based on stability and retail investor confidence and buying in my opinion.
Bioheart has late stage trials ready to go with not that many patient enrollments needed compared to other trials out there. I'd say that's a good bet in my opinion.
