FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 23, 2006--GlobeTel Communications Corp. (AMEX:GTE) today announced that J. Randolph Dumas, Vice Chairman, has been elected Chairman of the Board of Directors, succeeding Sir Christopher Meyer, who remains with the Company as Chairman of the GlobeTel International Advisory Board, but who has resigned his seat on the Board of Directors.

I might be wrong, but I believe when you resign your seat on the BOD, you are no longer a director, independant or otherwise.
