I think Buffets father was the smarter of the two, at least realized that Gold is the only currency (yes it is, and possibly the only true currency according to China, Germany, half the known world and even the fine gentlemen guarding Ft Knox) which has been fought over since the beginning of recorded history, and the only currency which can never be worth 0. Fiat is a synthetic instrument created by synthesized organizations to print influence and leverage....not "currency."
