If the request is rejected at this level it makes no sense to pursue it further at higher levels before initiating court proceeding. As the FDA has acknowledge Congressional interest in this issue, it has obviously been taken to the highest levels of the agency. As have numerous letters from numerous folks. Clearly, the whole agency has been engaged in deciding how to deal with this. There will be no independent judgment at higher levels. Only additional delays. While as more time passes there may be even more scientific evidence of the merits of Vasepa, Amrn, should not wait any longer before initiating actions.

Contrary to FDA statements, this is not a difficult or hard decision: it's a simple decision. The only thing hard is eating crow. Hopefully as these folks reflect on their commitments to their profession, their country, their God, their families, etc. they will do the right thing.
