I’ve found out something quite disturbing about Saleen.

The wikipedia page for Saleen (the company) used to be very well documented and fairly impartial about the company with many believable citations. you can find the old version here.

Now, just a few weeks ago in early July, a single contributor by the username of Murdock7 changed the whole page completely which is now the current version when you are directly linked to wikipedia. Now half of the citations are from the Saleen Club of America, which is Saleen’s fan club, hardly impartial.

Live version: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saleen

The particular user, Murdock7's only contributions are on Steve Saleen's page, Saleen's page and George Follmer.

The new version also skip complete through the mess of 2008-2013. It sort of talk of Saleen only in the perspective that Steve Saleen always ran the company. It also omit to mentions obvious things that were present in the last version like:

In 2006, Saleen opens it’s first own branded retail store in an outdoor shopping center in Southern California. The showroom was described as a unique shopping experience for Saleen vehicles, parts, and apparel.

The last version mentioned that the store closed just one year after that. According to the new page, people might think it is still open.

The new version also mentioned that Saleen was still an OEM until I personally changed it - see in the modification log - https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Saleen&action=history

Edit: problems with the links
