The real question should be, who is buying the preferred when the common is at 1.48 and why?

I thought you even answered this one before? The preferred shares were already shorted in March. That is why mgmt didn't sell any ATM shares during the March run up since they already made their deal with their buddies and you can't cross your buddies now can't you?. BTW, what happened to the BTD announcement you were forecasting? All imo.
