No doubt that Saleen can produce a nice Mustang and find a buyer to sell it to .
This has never been the issue. Steve is a very good designer and Mustang is his core competency.
The issue in this case is :

1) Why did Saleen have to ship the car all the way to Naples Florida to sell it? and,
2) How much did the car cost to make (including Freight)?
3) How much did the Naples car dealer pay Saleen for the Mustang? How much profit did the Naples dealer make? vrs
4) How much profit did Saleen end up making on this car?
5) How many buyers are willing to pay $114K for a tuned up $35K Mustang?
Rather than buying a Porche, Jaguar, Mercedes, BMW or other high performance vehicle ?

Is this Saleen business model something that is attractive to an investor?
