SKS as a "thought leader"

When one separates the deeds from the words, what conclusion does one come to? The deeds defined SKS, not his words. No matter how brilliant his words may have been (choke, choke), SKS cared first about himself, his family and almost zilch for shareholders footing the bill.

When one examines the words of SKS, those words were completely unreliable--whether he was addressing shareholders, the financial community, the media or anyone else. He was a liar, plain and simple.

He took credit for the deeds of others, i.e. claiming he basically founded the trusted computing group and then later, said he was basically 'running' the TCG. Neither statement had any truth attached to it--complete fiction, as were his statements about break-even based on orders in hand and just about everything else relating to money or profitability.

Given that kind of record, to call an insecure, pathological liar a 'thought leader,' is equivalent to calling John Wayne Gacy a friend of children and a humanitarian.

Given CM's record on calling things right while Wave was flailing and failing badly across the better part of two decades, his current description of Steven as a thought leader, IMO, falls well short of the mark.

In what way did Steven lead thoughts? Has anyone ever heard Steven make a good case for anything Wave? He was inarticulate as well as arrogant, he stammered and stuttered, rambled and evaded, and the actual and accurate transcript of his remarks about anything, read like a Saturday Night Live parody of a tech CEO. It sounds impossible to beat that, yet Steven managed with his written attempts, to embarrass himself, the company and all who championed him.

When one wants an accurate portrait of Steven, check the share price when he took the reins of Wave and what it was when he was fired. If that is a thought leader, I am a jelly doughnut.
