Vision’s hydrogen/electric drive system has 536 HP and 3,300 ft.- lbs. of torque available -- almost double the pulling-power of a conventional diesel truck.

Vision was been awarded contracts by the Port of Long Beach to deliver a Class 8 Truck and Terminal Tractor for demonstration and drayage testing. Vision has also been awarded a $1.4MM contract by the Port of Los Angeles to retrofit 15 plugin/electric terminal tractors with its proprietary hydrogen fuel cell technology.

On July 22, 2011, Vision delivered the 1st Hydrogen/Electric Hybrid Class 8 Truck to the Port of Long Beach – The Hydrogen Fuel Economy has officially begun!

The Department of Energy has recognized BOTH as Alternative & Advanced Vehicles

On June 12th 2014 Vision Industries (VIIC) announced that it is developing the next generation of Fuel Cell Eclectic Class 8 tractors that use Intelligent Range Extension(IREx(TM)). Intelligent Range Extension is the integration of GPS and Fleet Management Software to build an optimal fuel cell-profile that governs the electric drivetrain, fuel cell and battery management systems. The end result is a zero-emission transportation fleet that optimizes its energy consumption per mile.
