certainly, ss's technological telescope turned out to search parts of the sky that yielded little - where a review of wave's financial statements and a sceptical assessment of the unsafe harbour tended to explain the immediate reality reasonably well. although not perfectly.

the counter-corporate information flow is always tricky to obtain. building an alternative theory with less evidence takes self-confidence. i respect you for turning in that direction. it's why i also love barge's posts - they are always entirely his own.

because i have also sought to adopt this sort of approach, i don't look back and think - how did i manage to get everything so horribly wrong? i have some hits and some misses. but second-guessing the "informed" explanations turned out to provide a rich pasture. to me, the official stories always sounded like means to an end, which was usually justification for failure and the encouragement of hope. rather than truth.

i'd stick to your guns. over time one finds that relying on one's own judgement and ignoring demands to submit to someone else's feels pretty danged good. that is unless they have something more reasonable and coherent to say. noone has a pedestal at this point. the old forms of ridicule sound gummy to me. please continue to tell your wave story how you see it!
