Medical Marijuana Dispensaries in Arizona May be Most Profitable in Nation.
Anyone following the national news is already aware that independent medical marijuana dispensary operators in 18 other states are generating substantial revenues and often handsome profits. When Arizona legalized medical marijuana (November 2010), industry observers concluded that a similar opportunity would present itself in Arizona.
Due to Arizona's strict limit on dispensary licenses (part of the enacted law), medical marijuana dispensaries in Arizona will likely be the highest grossing and most profitable units in the entire country. In fact, an average dispensary in Arizona may earn as much as 7X that of an average dispensary earns in neighboring Colorado.
The 98 licenses were broken up into zones. These zones called Community Health Analysis Areas (CHAA) are filled with zoning restrictions that our company (Medbox, Inc.) has already navigated through. Out of a total of 98 licenses for the entire state, our clients were awarded 20 licenses. In Arizona, patients DO NOT possess the right to grow for themselves once dispensaries are erected in the fall of 2012.
