Oh, yes, replace " that" with "then" would have to make such... Meaning the somatic cells of a foreign cell type would be trying reproduce in order to regenerate tissue fully. The subject's system would then have to mount a violent enough immune response that would sterilize the subject (killing similar tissues as well, as does happen in other immune/automimmune reactions). A simple cytotoxic response isn't enough to kill off stem cells of foreign cell structures all the time. Or haven't you heard of cancer?
