JN at SA had been popping out articles as AMBS announced, HOWEVER he remains quiet this week.

There is a reason for that, after following patients over seven years the accuracy of the Lympro score goes down to an accuracy of 78% with a horrible sen of 73% and a spec of 81%.

Those numbers will not get you a ham and cheese sandwich. Personally, I did NOT expect those numbers. I was predicting a couple of million Lympro dollars a year until they found a treatment for AD, and then the best test available at that time would get the money.

HOWEVER, this SECOND new and improved test is not worth doing.

NOW, the FACT that AD somehow DOES change the cell cycle activity is quite important from a research point of view into the CAUSE of AD. However, it is only of research importance at this point. While the medical community has firmly established this link for AD, it does NOT know why this happens.

Now, that is ENTIRELY different from using the notion that CCD occurs as a test for AD. That does not work.

Whomever figures out just why AD causes cell cycle dysfunction will be a big winner.

On another note, didn't you all learn about the cell cycle in high school biology? I did, of course it was advanced biology, but we've known about meiosis and mitosis for a long time. Certainly, we continue to learn more about all processes in the body, including this one.

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is.
